Hi, I’m Alyssa Sletten, founder and owner of Ethereal Glow by Alyssa!

I’m a Madison, Wisconsin-based traveling hair and makeup artist and a licensed cosmetologist in the state of Wisconsin. I’ve been in the bridal beauty industry for a decade now (time flies when you’re having fun!). I’ve spent the last 10 years perfecting my craft in makeup artistry and the last 4 expanding my love for hairstyling. While Madison is home base, I frequently travel throughout Wisconsin, including Milwaukee and the Fox Valley, as well as Northern Illinois. I’m always happy to travel wherever your special day takes you!

Being part of someone’s wedding day is something I’ll never take for granted. There is something so incredibly rewarding about helping someone feel like the most beautiful, confident version of themselves, especially on a day as meaningful as their wedding day.

When I created Ethereal Glow, I wanted the name to represent more than just a beauty service. I wanted it to create a feeling. A feeling of confidence, radiance, and effortless beauty. I want my clients to leave my chair feeling glowy, confident, and almost angelic — a little ethereal, if you will. This soft, radiant glam is what I naturally gravitate toward and what I consider my signature style. That said, I love a little drama, too! I started my makeup journey in the 2016 era, when cut creases and full glam were practically a requirement (haha!), so I’m no stranger to creating a more dramatic look either. Whether you’re a natural beauty kind of girl or love a little extra glam, I love bringing your vision to life.

When I’m not working with clients or spending a wedding day behind the chair, you can usually find me off on an adventure with my fiancé, visiting family, or spending time with friends. I also have a cat named Apollo who is quite the character and keeps me endlessly entertained. Some of my clients have even had the pleasure of meeting him, so they know exactly what I mean when I say he’s the cutest!

More than anything, I want you to feel comfortable, celebrated, and completely yourself throughout this experience. I hope we get the chance to know each other, chat all things wedding, share inspiration, or even talk about your latest binge-worthy show.
